Ever since Katie & John’s engagement session (actually, ever since I first met them!) I had been like on hot coals waiting for their wedding day. I absolutely love their venue, Nothbrook Park, which, once again, didn’t let me down. Steph Turpin from FairyNuff Flowers was in charge of the most adorable flowers, which stole the show over and over again – from the stunning arrangements at the outside ceremony, to the gorgeous bridal flowers, not to mention the reception flowers and the cutest flowery ‘escort cards’ ever. Even Katie & John’s bunny Shakespeare, who ‘walked’ down the isle, had his own carrot corsage!
I love a wedding where everything takes place in the same place, and Northbrook Park is the perfect venue for this. To kick the day off, Katie and the girls got ready in one of the cabins on site where Tania Gent from LoveHair was in charge of make-up and hair. Katies gorgeous wedding gown was called ‘Lucy’ and it was from the Vineyard Collection at Priscilla of Boston in Phoenix. The gown was complemented by to-die-for Jimmy Choo shoes, which were a present (one of many!) from John. I think it’s fair to say Katie looked drop dead gorgeous.
Even though the day was quite rainy, the outside ceremony went ahead, which I’m so happy about. It was simply stunning, and the atmosphere was something a few drops of rain could ruin. Planner Andri Benson from Always Andri made sure things ran smoothly, even when backup plans had to be put into action when the skies opened properly.
Katie & John’s day was so individual and beautiful, and I felt very priviledged to have been a part of it. A few other vendors worth mentioning are the caterers, The Three Bees, DJ Firebird Events, the beautiful stationary from Wedding Paper Divas, and the cake by Edith Yemoh from EmaCakes.
Thank you Katie & John, for creating such a beautiful day and for allowing me to be a part of it all! x

It was a bank holiday, so not really a ‘weekday’ over here. Fridays are quite popular though.

Quite simply stunning. The flowers. Ohhh the flowers. The bunny, in a bag – in an actual handbag, such cuteness. Beautiful and dramatic umbrella shots, and quite simply stunning details and a very happy loved up bride and groom. Great venue which makes a superb backdrop to your photography. Well done Marianne for capturing this so well and to all involved – it looks like an utterly gorgeous and memorable day xo

Good Lord. I could go on for 6 hours about the details I adore in this wedding. All the flower arrangements, the ivy-covered venue, the bunny, the lovely, elegant bride (particularly adore the black and white shot of her from the side, highlighting her hair and neck), the fries, the candy, and OMG the frames and jars of flowers in the trees….love them all.
Beautiful, beautiful wedding and perfect images, Marianne.
OK, gotta go look into making a carrot corsage. :)

Hi! Fabulous site and incredible photography!
I am getting married at Northbrook Park in May 2012 so great to get further inspiration.
Do you know where John & Katie bought their sparklers and match boxes from? I adore these and would love to combine as favours.
I have been hunting high and low since seeing these photos but to no avail.
Thank you & best wishes,
Jo
Katie (the bride) says
Hi Jo, I’m glad you are finding inspiration from our wedding. It was so much fun putting together all the little details! :)
We got our sparklers from a place in north London call the Fireworks Den (http://www.fireworksden.com/fireworks/sparklers.html).
The match boxes came from our local corner shop and I printed the design and covered them. I also printed the sparkler holders and cute them out (I used an exacto knife to cut the center slits and a round corner punch for the edges.) I would recommend Etsy for loads of inspiration as well as downloadable templates. (Check out: http://www.etsy.com and http://www.blushprintables.blogspot.com.)
Have fun and congratulations on your upcoming wedding – Northbrook Park is beautiful in May!!

Hi Katie!
Your wedding is truly beautiful. It’s an inspiration! I’m on the verge of planning mine and going absolutely nuts. would it be possible to let me know who arranged the icecream and those fries? and also the hanging frames/ photo shots idea? Was this all done through your wedding planner?
Would really appreciate if you could let us know!
Best wishes!
