For Megan & James’ wedding I got to travel up to Liverpool for the first time ever. I had just flown back from Palm Springs, so jet lag made the whole day seem slightly more surreal than it would have otherwise been, but perhaps that just added to the magic?
To start the day, Megan and the girls got ready in a very cool apartment at Base2stay Liverpool. Megan’s gorgeous wedding gown was from The White Closet, and I just loved how all the girls wore flats! Goes to show that shoes can be super cute even without skyscraper heels.
The ceremony and reception took part in different parts of the Victoria Gallery & Museum. I think the fact that we were surrounded by artefacts from around the world added to my otherworldly feeling, it was a little bit like shooting a wedding inside an Indiana Jones movie. Inspired by the surroundings, and since Megan is from Australia, the decorations had a travel theme to them, coolest of all being the seating plan which was the map of the world!
Thanks so much for having us Megan & James, photographing your wedding was the nicest homecoming I could have wished for! I hope you had an absolutely brilliant time on your honeymoon in Sweden! x
