Are you sitting comfortably? Despite dividing Alev & Can’s Provence wedding weekend into three instalments (I posted the welcome bbq yesterday), this post of the wedding day on Saturday is a bit of a doozy. There was just too much amazingness to try to cut it any shorter.
The day started back at Le Hameau des Baux where most of the wedding party was staying and getting ready. Camille Bonardi was on hand for make-up and Ahmet Ozismen was in charge of hair. Alev wore the stunning Harper gown by Monique Lhuillier teamed with funky YSL silver color pumps, and she looked incredible!
After a first look in the garden, the whole party headed to Chateau D’estoublon for the main celebration. Kerry, Jen and Dani from Lavender & Rose Weddings were incredible, making sure everything ran on time, and looked absolutely flawless. Marrou was in charge of the delicious-looking food and the macaroon pyramid. Florist Laetitia C had created yet more stunning flower arrangements, and Crème de Papier was behind the pretty stationery.
The location and the styling, the exuberant atmosphere, the dancing until dawn, it all came together to create a truly magical wedding day that we felt very honoured to be a part of.
Oh, and the last portraits with the sparklers? Credit where credit is due, it was a collaboration with the boys from Shark Pig – and when I say collaboration I mean I mostly ran around with sparklers looking like a crazy person, while Brian and Jonathan figured out what to do. So if any of you future brides get any ideas about these sort of portraits, I’m perfectly happy to do them, but only if you also hire Shark Pig to do their part. ;) P.S. did you catch their sneak preview film over here yet?
I’ll give you a little while to digest all this, and I’ll be back tomorrow with the final instalment of day three! x
