Daphne got married to Rom in Manchester…
…and Rubbina & Louis tied the knot in Surrey.
This blog post has been a looong time coming! Elodie and Vianney’s wedding on the outskirts of Paris was up there when it comes to individuality, hard work and seeing your vision through. While the happy couple were on their honeymoon, Elodie’s mum was sharing the story of preparing for this wedding on her daughter’s blog, and the story really is a testament to how much work it took to put this special event together – including everything from clearing the forest floor to hand-assembling forest-sized decorations and building a dance floor.
After getting ready at her grandmother’s house, Elodie met Vianney at the Place de la Libération in Rambouillet for a civil ceremony. From there we travelled to a little village where, in a beautiful forest, Elodie had created a magical world filled with quirky little details. I have to say the bride herself fitted in perfectly and looked like a little fairy princess in her adorable gown.
I won’t tell you much more with words, as you can read all the details from Elodie’s blog. Instead, I’ll tell the story through the pictures. Enjoy!
It seems like forever since Emily and John’s winter wedding in Oxford last December. Seeing the wedding featured in the October issue of Perfect Wedding magazine brought back a lot of memories. It also got me in the mood for the next winter wedding season which is just around the corner – bring it on!
I’m finally starting to feel alive again, so really have to hit editing hard. It’s going to be a tough week catching up with everything. In the meanwhile, here’s a tiny glimpse from Wendy & Martin’s engagement session in Paris…
I’m currently in bed with a nasty cold and high fever, but I did sneak my laptop in with me (it keeps me warm after all!) so I can at least pretend to stay on top of some things… To cheer myself up, I decided to finally blog Johanna & Sven’s engagement session. There were times when it looked like this session would never happen, there seemed to be an endless amount of obstacles that forced us to reschedule more times than I can count. But a week ago the planets finally lined up in the right way and we spent a thoroughly lovely afternoon in Richmond Park.
From when we first started planning this session, Johanna was quite decided that she wanted to have a picnic, a proper picnic at that, not just a picnic theme. And boy did she go all out! I’m still craving her mouthwatering rhubarb pie and will definitely have to ask for the recipe – I really hope it’s not a family secret. I even got to sample some Belgian (yes, not Dutch like I mistakenly tweeted in my excitement after the shoot :P) raspberry beer, which was really rather nice, even to me who never ever drinks beer.
I’m so happy we finally managed to pull this shoot off, and that we had such a lovely time during it. Johanna is Finnish, Sven is Belgian and while they currently live in London, I’ll be covering their wedding in Finland next year, can’t wait!
