For Liz & Jonathan’s gorgeous wedding we returned to the South of France, this time to the capital of perfume, Grasse, on the picturesque Côte d’Azur. The stationery by Louise Richardson already set the tone for the glamour to come, and indeed pretty much everything about this wedding was like straight out of a movie scene.
The main location for all events was Chateau Diter, a dizzyingly beautiful dream of a house, where in the morning Liz got into her Sassi Holford gown and slipped on her Miu Miu shoes, before we headed to the ceremony at the Eglise Saint Jacques le Majeur in Le Bar sur Loup. The ceremony was made even more special by the live music provided by Hitched Wedding Music, who also sang beautifully at the reception.
In the meanwhile wedding planner Jennifer Rocher and her team from Lavender & Rose & florist Rose by Perrine worked their magic on getting the venue ready for the cocktail hour and reception. Somehow my South of France weather luck struck again, and the skies opened just before the newlyweds and guests were due to return, but it didn’t really matter much as there was a backup marquee, which made sure everyone stayed more or less dry.
Towards the evening, the weather improved and the sun even made an appearance just in time for moving into the beautifully decorated marquee, where caterer Parfum et Saveurs served gorgeous-looking food, while the Gypsy Queens entertained people while they ate. Later on they lead the guests up to the courtyard for a surprise serenade by Jonathan to Liz before their first dance.
Enjoy! And check out the images from the farewell brunch the next day, which also had much prettiness!
