Yay, finally I’m blogging Isla & Ewan’s AMAZING Scottish wedding! Sorry if I’m a bit over-excited, but I think you will see just why when you scroll down.
When Isla & Ewan originally booked me, their wedding was set to take place in Fulham Palace in SW London. A few months later I received an email from Isla asking how I would feel about flying up to Aberdeenshire in Scotland, as their wedding had been moved up to their native country due to peer pressure from people back home. I certainly didn’t have to be asked twice! I had never visited Scotland before so this change of events was quite exciting to me if anything (even if I do love Fulham Palace).
And what a wedding it was. I find it impossible to think of anything that wouldn’t have been either sublimely beautiful – flowers, handmade pom poms, Isla’s wedding gown (Pronovias from Teokath of London); or amazingly impressive – the poetic Scottish countryside, the incredible venue (Aswanley), men in kilts; or heart-warmingly touching – the cute VW van, Peter the most adorable cat, all the people in attendance (not forgetting Isla’s sweet mum who had made the gorgeous cake by the way!). The day was just perfection.
Thank you Isla & Ewan for being so welcoming and warm, and making us truly feel like a part of the family, and for holding on to us even when you decided to relocate your wedding hundreds of miles away! I hope these images will make your day justice. x
