I just can’t resist posting a very sneaky peek from Anna & Russ’ adorable vintage-flavoured tea party wedding, just because Anna looks so absolutely stunning getting into her gown! I’m still editing the rest of the pictures, so it will be a little while until you can see more, but I will share a gorgeous Oxford hill top wedding this weekend. Stay tuned!
Kristy & Peri | Engagement
Oh dear. I just realised the blog is feeling a bit unloved! I’ve been so busy catching up with editing that I kind of forgot to blog.
I was so happy I made it back to the UK just in time for Kristy & Peri’s Greenwich engagement shoot. I have to say it was a bit of a shock to the system to return to what seemed like full-on summer, when it had just been sleeting in Finland the previous day! The day of our shoot was absolutely gorgeous, and I had a blast getting to know a part of London that hasn’t really been a part of my usual haunts. Kristy and Peri are getting married in their native Australia this winter (alas, summer for them!) and I wish they’ll have a beautiful wedding day and a wonderful life together – what with them being such sunny personalities I’m sure that’s all a given!
Thanks guys, I really had a fun day traipsing around Greenwich with you!
Sam & Adam | Wedding
I’m so stoked to finally be able to blog Sam & Adam’s stunning Andaz wedding! I know it’s so so wrong to have ‘favourite’ clients, but if I was forced to rank my clients (at, you know, gunpoint or something) Sam and Adam would come way up there. They’re just so cool and nice and super talented, and they really made us feel like we were a part of the celebration.
Sam looked absolutely stunning from head to toe, from her gorgeous Marchesa gown to her cool Nicholas Kirkwood heels, and Adam very dapper indeed in his Dunhill suit. What with Sam and Adam – and a lot of their guests – being fashion designers, the coolness factor was definitely very high in this wedding! :D
No matter how many weddings I shoot at the Andaz, it seems that there are always new spaces to discover. This time, after ceremony in the Fenchurch room, the wedding breakfast was held at the Studio, which looked absolutely stunning, not least because of the gorgeous flowers by Scarlet & Violet (oh and the cake, by Maki’s Cakes, was pretty stunning too).
After dinner the party continued in the Temple. It was really nice to bump into familiar DJs, the Wedding Smashers, once again. These guys really do know how to rock a house!
A million thanks Sam and Adam for making us feel like we were a part of your super cool ‘family’! I know the ash cloud provided you with some extra days on honeymoon, which you totally deserved! :D
Rachel & Ben | Engagement
Sooo I finally made it out of Finland last Friday and came back home to a huge backlog of work that had been piling up while I was stuck over there. I’ve hit the editing with a vengeance and can now finally start showing you something new.
Rachel and Ben’s original engagement shoot got rescheduled due to horrendous weather, and even though that meant that we weren’t able to do it until just a week before the actual wedding day, it turned out to be a lucky thing as that was the weekend when all the trees started blossoming! Battersea Park was full of colours, which provided a beautiful backdrop to the very windy day.
Look out for pictures from Rachel and Ben’s beautiful Oxford wedding soon (well, as soon as I get through them!).
Grounded
So I flew to Finland for dad’s 60’s birthday bash last week, thinking this was going to be a very quick trip indeed. A certain inconsiderate Icelandic volcano had other ideas. I was supposed to fly back home yesterday, but here I still am, trying to come up with the best guess on what approach will be the most efficient when it comes to getting back to the UK. Currently I’m re-booked on a flight via Stockholm on Friday, but as the days go by, and air space stays closed, it’s getting more and more tempting to start travelling via ground to mainland Europe.
I’ve been in touch with all the clients who are directly affected, and I’m working on getting things covered for worst case scenarios if the situation doesn’t improve. I do appreciate everyone’s patience with delays when it comes to getting your pictures and albums delivered. Crazy days.
