A workshop for quiet, heart-led photographers

After the whirlwind of 2015, during which I relocated all the way to the shores of the Atlantic in Cornwall, and when there was no time for a workshop, I’m so happy to let you know that Live What You Love workshop 2016 is happening in October!

If you want to wake up every day feeling as excited about your business, as you do about your photography, this workshop is for you. We’ll talk about how to build a business that feels authentic and meaningful, for both you and your clients. We’ll also have a shoot during which I’ll demonstrate how to direct your couple using the Moment Design (aka Beloved) technique, which enables even the shyest photographers to capture authentic moments and emotions with their clients.

The workshop takes place in an intimate setting in Basingstoke, on Sunday the 2nd of October. You can find all the details through the Her Lovely Heart website.

I keep my workshops small so that everyone has a chance to get their questions answered, which means places are strictly limited. If your heart is pulling you towards it, act fast to avoid disappointment and book your seat now!

Aniko & Anth we our real couple at a recent mentoring session, and the four of us had such a good time that our time together pretty much turned into a full-on Together Session. Even though it was still a little bit chilly, you could definitely start sensing spring in the air, and we even found the first of the blossom! Sandra & Stefan | Together

Last week, at a Her Lovely Heart mentoring session, I demonstrated how to direct a couple with Sandra & Stefan. The weather was absolutely horrendous, but also a good reminder that you don’t need to let the circumstances dictate the outcome. I love how much joy Sandra and Stefan shared with me and my student, and I don’t think they could look much cuter, whether in sunshine or pouring rain!

Thru Your Lens photography Workshop 19 January 2015

If you follow Her Lovely Heart, you might know that I’m giving a photography workshop called Thru Your Lens, with the amazing Nick Ray in January.

This hands-on workshop is for you if you want to learn to properly use your d/SLR camera, and gain a deeper understanding of how to make technical decisions based on the kind of image you want to create.

We’re returning to the amazing Craven House, with its views and access to Bushy Park, which is the perfect setting for an intimate and relaxed workshop. After all the workshops I’ve held (and hosted) there, it truly feels like a home away from home!

Live What You Love Workshop Class of October 2014

Last week we gathered for another Live What You Love workshop with the loveliest bunch of people from near and afar. It was a brilliant day of sharing and learning and laughing together, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better group of people to talk about building a business around your passion with. I always come away from a workshop day exhausted, but completely fired up, there’s just something so very inspiring about getting to witness any tiny sparks of realisations happening. It totally fuels my fire, and makes everything I want to do with Her Lovely Heart seem completely worth it.

A huge thank you to Steph from Fairynuff Flowers for the lovely blooms, to Jenn & Vadim for being our brave & beautiful couple to demonstrate on, and Susanna for taking such good care of us and taking pictures of us in action!
