A few picture souvenirs from my mini-break to Dorset.
Nostalgia | Personal
I was inspired to try out some new techniques on old images. These pictures of Miriam & Miikka were shot as part of a series of images for a contest (which, incidentally, I won…) in 2005. I used only one of these hair-throwing ones in the final triptych, and sort of dismissed the rest. I really like the look of them now, having tried new tones on them.
Anna & Andrew | Engagement
I think I should be up for some sort of award for editing speed the way I’ve been steaming through sessions lately! My eyes are bleeding after editing for five hours straight. Anna & Andrew’s engagement session on the South Bank was quite different from how I’m used to working. It certainly was a challenge to shoot in the pitch black (I mean I couldn’t really even see through the viewfinder!) and using fill flash. I’m pretty happy with quite a few of these though. Anna and Andrew are so cute, and were super nice, so it truly was a pleasure!
Anna & Andrew | Sneak Peek
Tonight we went to the South Bank for Anna and Andrew’s engagement shoot. I got home about an hour ago and am soooo tired, but I just couldn’t resist taking a little peek! Now I’m definitely falling into bed though! More from this shoot later when I have the time and energy to edit the lot!
Magali & Jeff | Engagement
Phew. This is probably the fastest I’ve ever gone through editing a shoot! I just kept on seeing images that looked lovely and made me want to get a closer look. :D Magali and Jeff were real troopers, braving the ice cold wind sweeping over Hampstead Heath, and succeeding in looking like they didn’t mind! They were such a lovely couple to shoot and were up for all of my ideas. As creative people themselves (Jeff is one of the forces behind Cherry Ekko and Magali is a designer), they seemed to instantly understand what I was trying to do with any particular pose, which made the whole shoot so nice and effortless.
