Hey, I hope you’re all fine!
I thought I’d post a bit of an update on what’s been happening behind the scenes. One of the biggest recent developments has been moving to a brand spanking new proofing system. All the still active proofing galleries have now been successfully migrated, and the relevant clients notified of the new access codes. Do have a good browse around and get back to me if you discover any bugs or other confusing things. Fingers crossed everything works as it should though. The new facility should make it a lot easier for you to view all your images and to purchase prints and products. One of my favourite things is an option to add images to favourites if you think you might want to come back and view, or order them, later on. You can also invite family and friends to view your images through automated emails, which I think is a pretty useful addition. There’s also a facility for creating a registry, in case you wanted guests to buy you print credits instead of toasters. I still have to iron out the kinks in that process though, but do let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in. But yes, I’m pretty pleased with the look and functionality of the new proofing site and I hope you will find it convenient and easy to use!
Another thing I have to address is booking availability. I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries for the same dates recently, and I hate the feeling of disappointing someone. I don’t generally share information on what stage my other inquiries are at, as I think that makes it really awkward for everyone involved, plus it makes me feel a bit like an used car salesman! I always try to make it clear that my policy is ‘first come, first served’, in this case meaning the first client that returns the signed contract and retainer, gets the date.
In an attempt to avoid disappointment later on, I’ve put together a little ‘calendar’ of my availability for weddings. I will try to keep this as up to date as possible in the future.
